Privacy Policy

Gridiron Franchise (“the game”, at gridironfranchise.com) is a free browser game. This page explains what information is used when you play.

Information stored on your device

The game stores your saved franchises, settings and the display name you type for the leaderboard in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device. Clearing your browser data deletes it. We do not have accounts or passwords.

The public leaderboard (“Hall of Runs”)

If you choose to submit a roguelike run, we store the display name you entered, your score, and summary details of the run (team, seasons, results). This is shown publicly to other players. Do not use your real name or any personal information as a display name. Submissions are optional.

Supporter Pack purchases

The optional $3 Supporter Pack is sold through Stripe Managed Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Stripe collects your payment details and handles taxes, receipts and refunds under its own privacy policy; we never see or store your card information. After payment you receive a license key tied to your Stripe checkout session. The key and a random browser ID are stored in your browser (localStorage) and sent to our server to check the license (each key works on up to 5 browsers) and, when you submit a run to the Hall of Runs, to show a supporter badge. We keep no name, email or address for buyers. Questions or refunds: gridironfranchisedev@gmail.com.

Server logs

The game is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes each request and may log technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and performance. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Advertising

The game may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and may use them to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of personalized advertising at aboutads.info. When the game asks for your cookie preference, choosing “Decline” requests non-personalized ads only. We do not sell your personal information.

Children

The game is a general-audience sports simulation and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can clear saved data in your browser at any time, change your ad cookie choice via the “Cookie choices” link at the bottom of the game, and ask for a leaderboard entry to be removed by emailing gridironfranchisedev@gmail.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
