About Gridiron Franchise
Gridiron Franchise is a free, single-page football franchise simulation that runs entirely in your browser. Take over one of the 32 teams, build a roster through the draft, free agency and trades, and try to win championships across many seasons. It is an independent fan project made by one developer.
Two ways to play
Classic franchise
An open-ended dynasty mode. Manage your roster and salary cap, set depth charts, scout and draft prospects, and play out an NFL-style 17-game schedule with divisions, conferences and playoffs. Your schedule rotates every season so you meet different opponents over time.
Roguelike run
A 10-season challenge scored on wins, playoff depth and championships. Choose a chaos level from Standard NFL (a plain rebuild, lowest score multiplier) to Apocalyptic (wild events, weird prospects and mythic players, highest multiplier), pick an ascension difficulty, and submit your run to the public Hall of Runs. Daily and weekly challenges use fixed seeds so everyone plays the same run.
How to play
- Pick a team on the opening screen and choose Classic or Roguelike.
- Manage the roster: set your lineup, watch contracts and the salary cap, and sign or release players.
- Draft each spring: scout prospects and build for the long term.
- Advance the season week by week. Check standings, the schedule and game results.
- Make the playoffs and win the title. In Roguelike mode your final score depends on how far you get and the chaos level you chose.
Tips
- Young high-potential players cost little now and win later.
- Do not blow the whole cap on one position.
- Higher chaos scores more points but makes seasons less predictable.
